Quote: With ice in my heart, I watched him prepare to defend me.”
Reaction: I feel that Bella had a little doubt that Edward would win this outnumbered fight. As she saw him get ready to protect her, she thought that the wolves that outnumbered him and his family would surely kill them all. But before anything happened, they were all fighting back as they knew that not only Edward’s but their responsibility to protect Bella was extremely important. Without one inch of disappointment they fought off the wolves as best as they could and kept that responsibility to an update as they won the outnumbered fight.

Quote:
It was all very childish. Why on Earth should Edward have to leave for Jacob to come over? Weren’t we past this kind immaturity?”
Reaction: I feel that ever since Edward’s family had crossed over onto Jacob’s family’s side of the forest, they still don’t know how to compromise about the subject. Ever since that has happened, Edward and Jacob blame each other for that incident that happened so long ago. Now, if Edward hears that Jacob is coming over, most of the time he would leave and then come back after Jacob would leave. This little argument about whose story is true has gone on for way too long. And Bella is annoyed at the fact that they would not just stop this and become friends.

Quote: That had to be the longest party in the history of the world.”
Reaction: I think that Bella didn’t expect the party to be that long or that exhausting. She was probably expecting a short get together, but she was wrong. I think that she just wanted it to be over quick, like most parties usually end, and then she could go back home because she doesn’t really like the whole idea of regular parties and surprise parties. So on the way home Bella had to tell her opinion about the party to Edward as soon as they got into the car. After Bella told Edward she probably didn’t want to talk about anything else the whole ride home. What a really exhausting and long day that might have been for Bella.

Quote: I hated to waste any part of the night in sleep, but that was inevitable.”
Reaction: I feel that Bella was way to excited to sleep. I think that she was just asked the most important and romantic question in her life. After Edward had proposed, Isabella Swan knew she couldn’t sleep in the night, but she already knew how predictable that would be. I think that this is one of the most important parts in the book because Bella Swan’s future was depending on her answer to Edward Cullen’s question. Does she or does she not want to spend the rest of her life with thee Edward Cullen, the one guy that she loves and the guy that asked for her hand in marriage. What a big decision for Isabella Swan to make in the middle of the day. WOW!

Quote:
“I lay facedown across the sleeping bag, waiting for justice to find me.”
Reaction: I feel that Bella is torn between two guys that are very important to her, but she must only choose one. I know that Bella loves both of them very much, but she knows that she MUST absolutely choose one guy that she loves the most, and yet she can’t decide on which one she likes more and which one she wants to spend the rest of her life with. If Bella was positive about her acception to Edward’s proposal, then Bella wouldn’t have to face this major decision that could affect her relationship with her best childhood friend Jacob. Will the one guy that Bella Swan will choose to spend the rest of her life be Jacob Black or Edward Cullen?
